I think that this album shows a postmodern approach to black metal: it is ironic towars the lo-fi sound, the violent feelings, the underground aesthetics, but also the melodic dynamics of the genre, while in the same time it draws these unique elements of black metal in order to create outstanding black art that expesses the hopes and fears of today.
