In unseen depths, a writhing mass hides from the light.
Unholy fog of loathing blackens out the sky.
Miasma breeds, the blighted force creeps in from afar.
Obfuscation of hidden truths of what we really are.
Malevolently it takes control of the human conscience.
Perverting minds to execute its malign commands.
Delirious, with bloody eyes, a man kills his son.
Lies are told to all of us to keep things how they are.
Out in the distance
A lurking plague will rise.
The ones forgotten
Will guide its way.
Oblivion's gate opens.
Ascended form, the loathing fog is present all around.
Corrupting all who succumb to do unspeakable wrong.
They unleash their rage in violent haste against one another.
We live out the consequences of these harmful deeds.
Souls are doomed to exist here and fight for their lives.
Dismal world of eternal conflict this is hell on earth.
In your hour of penance, you have a vision of cruel truth:
The unseen depths where loathing breeds is within you.
Out in the distance
A lurking plague will rise.
The loathing fog
Between the branches.
The ending of our lives.
The ones forgotten
Will guide the way.
Oblivion's gate opens.

The first time I heard this band was off their Heir of Ecliptical Romanticism, and I remember the riffs being the highlight of the album. This album is no different. The band just has a fuller sound with better production these days. Many of their tunes here remind me of early Satyricon. The classic heavy metal influences really make those riffs stick in your brain. Bart

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
